BBK Words Inspire is Birkbeck’s first society dedicated to poetry and storytelling enthusiasts. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or someone looking to explore your creativity through the power of words, this is the perfect space for you.
We believe poetry and storytelling are profound forms of self-expression, and everyone deserves a safe and supportive environment to share their unique creations, inspire others, and be inspired in return.
Join us for regular meet-ups and events where you can:

Membership Details:
To be part of this inspiring journey, we ask for a small membership fee of just £5 per term. This fee helps us fund group activities and is heavily subsidised by the Students’ Union to make extra-curricular activities at Birkbeck accessible to everyone.
For students from other University of London institutions, Birkbeck alumni, staff members, or guests, we kindly ask for a slightly larger contribution to ensure fairness for Birkbeck students while keeping the society affordable and sustainable.
